Annual Prayer Retreat coordinated by the Senior Women’s Ministry, Sis. Cleo Crowder, President, Sister Anna Smith, Prayer Retreat Chair. Theme: “Praying for the Restoration of Our Nation”. Rev. Monty Frances proclaimed a tremendous message for us.
NTDA Ministers’ Wives and Widows Auxiliary – Virtual Tea Party which included a time of study and fellowship. Also, Auxiliary Director Lady Stephanie Hall implemented – Daily Inspirational Messages which began in January with Ministers’ Wives Widows sharing daily inspirational messages via group text and email. Additionally, the NTDA Ministers Wives and Widows participated with the NBCA Ministers’ Wives and Widows on their monthly Zoom Fellowship. NTDA Director serves as Vice President of the NBCA Wives and Widows Auxiliary
EQS 2 – Theme: “Embracing the New Normal 2.0”, led by Dean Parker one of the subject matters was mental health.
Junior Women & WIA Round-up Celebration led by President, Sister LaTonya Coleman-Rose, Theme: “Relax, Refresh, Release”. Words of Encouragement by Sister Anna Smith, Shiloh Baptist Church, Pastor Kraig Pullam and Table Talk Topics/Presentation led by Sister Nanette Smith, Great Commission Baptist Church, Pastor Douglas E. Brown.
Rev. Dr. Carlos D. Williams, Senior Pastor was called to Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, Dallas, Texas. He is the fourth pastor of the historical church and was welcomed to “THE REST” on August 15, 2021. He is married to Joannie and have two sons Corbin and Kenan Williams. NTDA presented Dr. Williams a welcome plaque to the district at our 128th Session and our Thousand Women in White celebration.
MBGCT Women’s Ministry Prayer Calls – each Tuesday and NBCA Senior Women’s Ministry Prayer Calls – each Thursday – a number of NTDA Pastors and Members were programmed to share Words of Encouragement and other forms of ministry.
The winter storm that occurred in February affected a number of churches, both locally and beyond. NTDA rose to the occasion to support the Foreign and Home Mission Boards to lend assistance to churches impacted: Bread of Life Church, Pastor Terry Desso; Grace Tabernacle, Pastor Roy E. Brackins; West Mt. Moriah, Pastor W.L.D. Campbell; Keller Springs Baptist Church, Pastor Larry Sanders; Saint Paul, Pastor Lelious Johnson; Golden Gate, Pastor Vincent T. Parker, Greater Goldengate; Pastor Fabian Jacko, Greater New Zion, Pastor Joe Patterson
A number of churches have held and/or consistently hold Food Giveaways: Some are held weekly, and some are held monthly. Just to name a few: Antioch Baptist Church, Vice Moderator, Pastor A.L. Kennon; Great Commission Baptist, Pastor Douglas E. Brown; Mayfield Baptist Church, Pastor Larry T. Hall
NTDA Churches pulled together to provide 150 School Supplies filled Backpacks for the children and youth of the Holy Ghost I Church in Belize Central America. This effort was coordinated by Sister Shonette Hill, Sister Barbara Bookman, and Bro. Earnest Derrough.

Several churches in Fort Worth, including three NTDA Churches, West Mt. Moriah, Treasurer, Pastor W.L.D. Campbell and Zion MBC, Pastor K.L. Hawkins, Sr., and Pleasant Mt. Gilead, Pastor Kevin L. Pullam, worked together with a group of young men called “LEGACY” to sponsor a community-wide Festival, which included health and safety booths, a large Kids Zone, vendors, music, spoken word and more. This event was a positive change related to the usual negativity associated with July 3rdin the Como community.
A massive memorial was erected on the premises of the Golden Gate Baptist Church. “Story behind the faces images that changed the narrative.” Congress Dean, Pastor Vincent T. Parker, displaying all of the BLACK LIVES lost at the hands of Police.
Great Commission Baptist Church, Rev. Dr. Douglas Brown, Pastor has now an Espanola Service in the church. In this service each participant has become a member of Great Commission. This vision allows both services to come together on the fourth Sunday of each month with praise teams singing in Spanish and English.
